Last9 completes SOC II Type 2 Certification

The comprehensive audit validates Last9 as a trusted SRE partner; a crucial process to work with highly regulated industries.

Last9, the Reliability Platform for SRE and DevOps, has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type II certification after completing a third-party audit of its data security and privacy protection processes.

Last9 works with huge amounts of critical data for a number of leading companies that’s core to business operations and strategy. This audit underscores Last9 as a trusted, reliable partner with high standards of security.

The SOC 2 Type II audit validates Last9’s approach to data and privacy and meets the required criteria for security, availability, and confidentiality.

“Last9 has been committed from inception to keeping our customers’ data safe,” said Piyush Verma, Last9 CTO and co-founder. “This audit affirms our hard work and attention to detail in building Last9 to safely handle our customers’ metrics and logs so they can deliver reliable software.”

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 information security standard is an audit report that examines an organization’s controls relevant to security, availability, and confidentiality.

A SOC 2 Type II report describes a service organization's information security controls, whether the design of specified controls meets the relevant standards, and assesses the effectiveness of those controls over a specified period of time.
